“I’m really happy with the park at the moment”, park designer Adam Arski laughs. The boss-man of the Area 47 Snowpark Sölden shape crew is more than satisfied with the development of his playground: “We’re putting new rails in the park on a daily basis. A waterfall rail was one of the features we recently added. We also got a beginner rail now. That way beginners have more to shred than just boxes.” In addition to that, our beginner kickers got a little remake as well. Now, they are more suitable for rookies. The idea behind the Area 47 Snowpark is to offer a rad freestyle experience to everyone, no matter if grom or pro.
It’s the goal of every park designer to give a personal touch to one’s project. And of course, Adam has his own vision as well. “One of my goals this season is to build the Snowpark in a skaterpark style”, our park designer explains. And so far, his plans are working out just fine! “We’re about to finish the bowl in the rail line. It’s like half of a skate bowl that is leading riders towards our wallride that is set up on one of our knuckles.” Without a doubt, Adam and his ideas will improve the park big time this season.
Of course, this year’s Area 47 Snowpark Sölden is not made by one person! It’s the work of every member of the shape crew that makes our park so rad. “Our crew is getting better and better every day! It’s so much fun to work with them.” Everything seems just perfect right now, but there’s only one thing lacking right now. Snow. “The snow conditions are really good, it’s not icy at all and the weather is perfect. Of course, we need more snow in order to build bigger things, so a big dump of pow would be nice”, Adam says.
