Chilling from 9 to 5! That’s probably the best way to describe what was going on at the seventh Almdudler Freestyle Feast which went down last Saturday in the Almdudler Snowpark Sölden. At bright sunshine, freeskiers and snowboarders from near and far gathered in the chill area for a relaxed celebration of the freestyle culture. We saw many familiar faces in the crowd that day: Snowboard pros Jonel Fricke and Benni Mösl didn’t want to miss this party, neither did the QParks park designers Simon Abel and René Friedle, who came all the way from the Diedamskopf and St. Anton to check out what their colleague, Christoph Schöpf, had created.

However, there was a lot of action, too! Accompanied by fresh tunes, tons of tasty Almdudler and a nice BBQ, the youngsters went wild at the big “Goodies for Trix” session with attached public film and photo shooting! At this fun session, they could choose a trick which they then had to stomp. Everyone who stomped his trick, got a nice Almdudler, Nitro or Moreboards goodie from park designer Christoph Schöpf, who also played the judge and guardian of the goodies! The better the trick, the bigger the goodie! At the end of the session, tons of goodies had been given away and the place was filled with happy faces!

With the mood climaxing thanks to the “Goodies for Trix” session and speaker Bernhard Schlosser’s efforts to keep the crowd entertained, the next highlight was coming right up! At the “Sölden’s Next Almdudler Yodel Pro” yodeling competition, one daring folk music aficionado got the chance to win a year’s supply of Almdudler! The participants fought hard for their favorite lemonade and in the end, the price had to be divided between the two equally enthusiastic finalists!

Slowly but surely, this day, too, had to come to an end and so the freestyle crowd went off for some last shred laps in the once again perfectly shaped Snowpark before the sun set over the spectacular panorama of Sölden’s mountains.

The pictures of the day are available on the Almdudler Snowpark Sölden website and on the Almdudler Snowpark Sölden Facebook Fanpage, where you still have yet another chance to win. If you tag your name to a photo of yourself in the Facebook gallery until Friday, the 16th of March, your picture will be taking part in the voting of the big Almdudler Freestyle Gaudi, where EUR 1.000,- are waiting for you! Don’t miss this last chance to participate in the Almdudler Freestyle Gaudi!
