The new winter season is getting closer and the Snowpark Sölden will soon return with a modified setup! Time for us to get back to you with our park updates! In the season 2011/2012, the renowned playground will regain its rightful place amongst Europe’s top snowparks and offer new challenges to the international freestyle community!
As the temperatures fall, we can begin to dream about the white gold and the upcoming shred days. Looking at the majestic mountains, we are already itching to grab our boards and skis and leave our 4 walls behind. As soon as the first snow shows up over the Ötztal, our shape crews will be up there to create the versatile and unique snowpark you all are waiting for.
Last season, the medium line has been one of the highlights of the Swatch Snowpark Sölden where pros and beginners were riding side by side. Another legendary feature was the gondola rainbow or the y-rail. The creative heads of the shape crew have steadily extended the setup and thusly created the ultimate freestyle playground. One of their most impressive achievements was the “incredible project”. This monstrous special obstacle was shredded extensively and proved to be a perfect shooting location. Whether the “incredible project” will return is still written in the stars but there is definitely something huge to come! This season’s exact setup is still top secret, but it will be announced over the next few weeks. Watch out!
The sixth Freestyle Feast also passed off at the Snowpark Sölden last year. At splendid weather conditions, more people than ever came from all directions in order to celebrate our beloved freestyle! Live guitar accompanied by rap sounds, an evershining sun and stylish action on one and two boards were predominating the undisputed most relaxed scene come-together of the Ötztal valley. This season, we are again in for a series of fantastic events. Let’s get together and keep the freestyle spirit alive!
Look forward to the season 2011/2012 in the Snowpark Sölden!
