The atmosphere’s moody within our shapecrew of the Swatch Snowpark Sölden. Next week, the only Q-shaper girl Eva de Winter says goodbye to Sölden due to an incident in her family. Our “hen” of the shaper-roost takes on her homeward journey to Belgium. A substitute has already been found, the team will welcome Marcel as new shaper next week.

In January Wilko Mostert, chef editor of the Dutch ski magazine White, decided to make a trip to Austria. Finally, the winner was the Swatch Snowpark Sölden! With two skiers and two snowboarders in the baggage Wilko took all the way to Sölden on the 24th of January.

Our parkdesigner "his highness" Rudi Wyhlidal strolled around the park with his magic camera in his hands to make some magic shots of his magic Swatch Snowpark Sölden! For those who haven't been able going there yet, watch these insane shots and you just want to go there. This park is probably the most beautiful thing you will see this winter!

On Wednesday the ISPO took an end and all representatives of the QParks team agree that it was a whole success across the board! The QParks booth was among the most popular in hall A1 and countless visitors stopped by for a drink in our chill-out lounge. However, the aim of the ISPO was not just partying and having a fun time: Besides the rush at the QParks stand, our team was busy with meeting and talking to brands, crews, partners, industries and media representatives in order to boost the freestyle network!

In the last couple of weeks, a great deal of QParks’ workload went into the preparations for our appearance at the 1st annual European Park Conference at the ISPO 2010 in Munich going off this Sunday Feb 7th and Monday 8th. The main concern of this special congress is to bring the parks, the industry and resorts together at one place to discuss the current and future park-development in Europe. For sure, QParks is the biggest player at representing snowparks and the interests of all freeskiers and snowboarders!
